The SOIS INFOMANIACS cheered on participants and handed out cookies after the race. This year, the SOIS INFOMANIACS received the 2019 Panther Prowl Team Impact Award, for our “long-term commitment and dedication to the panther prowl 5K run/walk, making a significant impact raising money for UWM student scholarships” SOIS INFOMANIAC, Keith Kunkel finished 2nd in his division and SOIS Senior Lecturer, Adam Hudson finished 4th in his division. SOIS PhD student, Benjamin Omwando finished 2nd in his division with a time of 19:45. Lyndsay Smanz, SOIS Senior Lecturer, was a top female finisher in the prowl, coming in first in her division and second overall with a time of 22:01. Panthers from 37 states and five countries have already shown their support for the Def Panther Prowl-steria17th Annual Panther Prowl 5K Run/Walk, at 10 a.m. The energetic INFOMANIACS joined more than 1,700 participants and volunteers for the annual 5K run/walk on UWM’s campus and the beautiful east side neighborhood of Milwaukee to raise money for UWM student scholarships. The Panther Prowl is returning to campus for an in-person event this year, and UWM faculty and staff are invited to sign up. The School of Information Studies INFOMANIACS had an excellent showing at the 2019 Panther Prowl on October 12th.
